Cranford Update

Haven't written in awhile. Things are going well for the family. Doug is finishing the renovations on the rental house so we can sell it, Logan and Izzy are doing great in school and I won't seem to work hard enough to lose the weight I gained a year and half ago before the miscarrige.
Brandy and Shelby died, Daddy Cranford died this year and we stopped going to church over the past few months.....guess all of that doesn't sound that good afterall.

School is starting

Izzy starts Faith Academy in two weeks for Prek and Logan will be attending Hutchens in 1st grade. Things are different, both wear uniforms and have a lot of supplies to bring. They both have great teachers and are excited. I worried for Izzy, being it her first year. I know she will do great, but hopes she does even better than I believe she will.
I start teaching at UA this semester and could not be more excited. The information from UA has been sketchy, so am not sure how it will go but am so excited I barely notice how confused I am.

Izzy

Izzy is doing great, growing like a weed. Is now potty trained and getting ready to start PreK at Faith Academy.
She is taking gymnastics now and is doing better than I could have imagined.

Logan and Izzy

Izzy is doing great. Getting sweeter everyday....which is great. She used to get in trouble all the time, but has really been trying.
Logan is doing well in school and starts back with t-ball and Doug is his coach.
Still trying to find somewhere for Izzy to do dance.
Work is going well for Doug and myself.
Now if I would just lose this weight, all would be right in the world.

Why I love Them!

Why I love Izzy: Most mornings when I wake up, Izzy is snuggling so close to me she is almost underneath me. She whines and cries when I get up because she just wants me to hold her. I could list many more. Izzy is just great. She is independent and adventerous. She has a mind of her own....don't leave her alone for minute or you will have no idea what you will get.
Why I love Logan: When I get ready to go for a run Logan says: "Mom you don't need to exercise, I think you look great." (he is going to be a great husband someday) Logan is so kind. He really cares about others....but when it comes to sports, move out of the way because he only wants to Win.
and
Why I love Doug.....
He is constantly trying to improve himself......be a better father, husband and man. As many faults as we all have, Doug is definitely a man, many could learn from.
Also, I love it when he comes to see me and I am not expecting it. The first thing that pops in my head when I see him, is "WOW, he's cute." Then I realize....he's mine.

Cranford Saddness

Saturday, January 24, 2009 was a very sad day in the Cranford family. Doug's father died have a short battle with lung and pancreatic cancer. He was a Wonderful man, full of life and laughter. He was a person you would Always want to be around and talk to. Work was his life, but family was his love. After two tours in Vietname he came home and started a family. He had his share of hardship, battling alcoholism, but of course he is a Cranford and he WON. He was more than 25 years sober and a fact that I am extremely proud of for him. He was extremely smart. This man could design a house or building on paper and then build it from the ground up. When his health failed him he around 2000 had to quit this love of building. He started driving a truck across the country and loved it. Every Sunday he would call just to talk. It was the one phone call I expected and looked forward to every single Sunday. I loved him more than my own father and know that he will never know how important he was to me.
Spend time with those you love, the sick, the elderly, your children.....because you never know when you are going to lose them.
